Cohesion Dance Project presents excerpts from its original production “Resonance~ an evening of Art Inspiring Art” featuring pieces from the evening length show. Shows are at 5 and 7:30 PM at Cohesion Center for Dance & the Arts. Tickets are $15 presale or at the door (presale recommended as space is limited).
With dance and sculpture at its core, Resonance is a multi-faceted project incorporating original works from collaborating artists inspired by and in response to one or more of the other art pieces created during the project. Beginning with three kinetic sculptures fabricated by nationally recognized metal artist Richard Swanson, additional contributions include: poetry by best-selling author, photographer, and poet Tyler Knott Gregson (Helena); original music by dance accompanist/percussionist J Stuart Smith (Albuquerque, NM); original choreography from choreographers Tanya Call, Amber Moon Peterson and Julynn Wilderson performed by professional dancers from across Montana joined by local community dancers incorporated into the show.
Excerpts of Resonance will be the kick-off event of Cohesion Dance Project’s Bitterroot Cascade Tour, which brings the performance and outreach of Resonance to Missoula and Great Falls communities.
