Three-day celebration of traditional music, dance, arts, culture and ethnic cuisine set along the west slope of the Continental Divide in Butte, Montana July 12-14 with more than 300 performers,artists and food vendors.. How to get around at the Montana Folk Festival? Take Exit 127B and drive north to park for free at the Butte Civic Center at 1340 Harrison Avenue. Then ride the air-conditioned and handicapped accessible bus for free to the festival stages that leave for the festival every 15 to 20 minutes.
Where are the stages? The shuttle bus stops first at the bottom of the dance stage. Walk up the steps to the Dance Pavilion on East Granite Street.
Or, take the intrasite shuttle that takes attendees up Main Street with stops on Broadway for the Broadway Stage, Granite for the Granite Street Stage. The Montana Traditions Stage is on East Quartz Street, and then the bus stops at the Original Mineyard where the main stage is located. As it makes its way back down the hill, the busses will stop close to the Copper Street Stage.
Six stages in all with live music all day and night on Saturday and Sunday.
