Get ready for Oktoberfest, Helena style! That means three days of great events, guided hikes, bbq, live music, and of course beer and brats brought to you by Montana Wilderness Association, Blackfoot River Brewing, and The Base Camp.

Get the weekend started off on the right (or left) foot by joining us on Saturday morning for a guided hike up Mt. Helena, near Kading Cabin, or along MacDonald Pass. Thanks to Vigilante Shuttles and Tours for their help with transportation.

On Saturday afternoon, don your lederhosen and come on down to Blackfoot River Brewing to sample the brand-new Juniper IPA, listen to Helena’s own Copper Queen, chow down on brats and pretzels from Rockstarrbbq and Miller’s Crossing, and test your forearm mettle in a stein-holding competition.

On Sunday, cross the street to the iconic Bluestone building, the headquarters of Montana Wilderness Association, to learn about horsepacking in the Bob Marshall Wilderness from Dropstone Outfitting. There’ll also be delicious grub from Helena’s Triangle Lazy J BBQ Company.

Bonus event: join us for the Oktoberfest Kickoff with CDTC at The Base Camp on Friday evening to hear from Lynn Wiseheart and Jean Ella, the first women to thru-hike the Continental Divide Trail!
