National Public Lands Day Event

Join us for a day of trail building and fun on the Miller Creek side of Mount Dean Stone as we celebrate National Public Lands Day!

When: Saturday, September 28th; 8:30am – 1:30pm
Where: Miller Creek, Mount Dean Stone

In the morning, put on your work gloves and help us put the finishing touches on a new all-abilities trail along Miller Creek. At noon, join us for a picnic lunch and hear the latest Mount Dean Stone project updates. Registration is required. All ages welcome!

We are excited to be partnering with REI, Dick Anderson Construction, Knife River and the Mount Dean Stone Committee partners for this day of fun and community service.

A shuttle bus to the work site will depart from the Missoula Fresh Market on Reserve starting at 8:30 am. Participants should bring gloves and sun protection and wear work clothes and closed-toe footwear. Volunteers will also receive a free REI Steward tee shirt (sizes available on a first come basis)!

If you have transportation needs that a school bus shuttle is unable to accommodate, please call Five Valleys Land Trust at 406.549.0755 to coordinate alternative transportation.
