Lakers star Luka Dončić will remain available for Los Angeles, after the NBA reversed his 16th technical foul, wiping out what would have triggered an automatic one-game suspension.

The call came during Saturday’s narrow win over the Orlando Magic, when Dončić and center Goga Bitadze were both hit with technicals following a heated exchange. After reviewing the incident, the league rescinded both fouls, dropping Dončić back to 15 on the season and clearing him to suit up against the Detroit Pistons.

The situation stemmed from verbal back-and-forth between the two players, with each offering different explanations afterward. Dončić later acknowledged the moment, saying, “I know I got to do better,” while the Lakers quickly filed an appeal that proved successful.

Despite the distraction, Dončić delivered a strong performance with 33 points and eight assists, helping extend the Lakers’ winning streak to nine games. His availability remains crucial as the team holds a top spot in a tightly contested Western Conference playoff race.

This marks yet another time Dončić has avoided suspension after reaching the technical foul limit—similar calls were overturned during his earlier years with the Dallas Mavericks.

With the postseason approaching and award eligibility in sight, the Lakers will look to maintain momentum—and keep their star on the floor—as the regular season winds down.
