2019 FMB Cottonwood Planting

October 19, 2019 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Friends of the Missouri Breaks Monument (FMB)! The 2019 cottonwood planting will be on Saturday, October 19th.

We will plant 100 cottonwood trees and create some cottonwood enclosures to protect young, naturally-growing cottonwoods from being eaten by wildlife.

We will be meeting at Decision Point at 9am. Gloves and shovels (provided by Lehman’s True Value in Fort Benton!), water, and a free lunch (courtesy of B Social Bowling in Fort Benton!) will be provided. If you have your own work gloves it is recommended to bring them.

Volunteers should bring the following: water bottle, sunscreen, hat, layers of clothing (it may be chilly!) We expect to be done planting no later than 5pm, but may be done earlier.
