Resilient women create resilient workforces, families, and organizations. And like any skill, resilience can be learned. Join us Friday, October 18th for the Women’s Leadership Network’s Annual Conference – Resilience. This special one-day event is not an opportunity you or your organization want to miss.
Learn from visiting Resiliency Trainer Gayle Thom, former FBI victim specialist and 9/11 responder who worked side by side with rescue and recovery workers at Ground Zero. (See her full bio below.)
Also at this year’s conference, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, get educated about early detection and screening for breast cancer and learn how best to support family and friends battling and recovering from this all-too-common disease. Then finish the day with us as we recognize the professional and personal resilience in our own community with a Celebration Forum made up of local Montana women. A networking lunch is provided.
The WLN annual conference has grown into a much-anticipated event that both local and visiting women look forward to every fall and we hope and you, your organization, your friends, and your colleagues will join us.
CEs available for nurses. CEU-applicable content for social workers.

Meet our Keynote Speaker:
A retired FBI Victim Specialist and Resiliency Trainer, Gayle Thom has worked and lectured all over the world. She has collaborated on-site with authorities of Scotland Yard, London Metropolitan Police, Royal Canadian Mounted Police and England’s INTERPOL headquarters, and has been privileged to work extensively on Tribal and non-Tribal lands throughout the United States.
Thom was assigned to New York City after 9/11 and was humbled to assist the victims, their families, and Ground Zero rescue/recovery workers after the World Trade Center terrorist attack. She also worked in Louisiana, providing services to Hurricane Katrina survivors and responded to the Red Lake school shooting in Minnesota when ten students died and more were tragically injured.
While serving on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation for ten years as a victim specialist, she was humbled to twice receive the Oglala Lakota Nation Dedicated Service Honor. Thom now works as a contractor and trainer for the US Department of Justice. She lives in Rapid City, South Dakota – surrounded by the love of her husband, children, and grandchildren.
