Sneed B. Collard III is the author of more than eighty award-winning books, winning the Washing Post Children’s Buok Guild Nonfiction Writer of the Year Award in 2006. Sneed has evolved through several life-history stages on his way to becoming one of today’s leading children’s authors. In 2010, Sneed sought to address the shortage of quality regional children’s books by launching his own publishing company, Bucking Horse Books, which releases books of special interest to kids and educators in the West.
